The Festival Nacional at Jogos Brasileiros 2026 was also the stage for the official launch of our book:

Nossas Raízes Africanas — Histórias do Brasil e dos Estados Unidos
Our African Roots — Stories of Brazil and the United States

Created by Professora Iguana, Professora Ciranda, and Graduada Rara, the book connects stories of African heritage in Brazil and the United States and celebrates the cultural roots that continue to live through Capoeira.

To experience both the Baobá championship victory and the official launch of Nossas Raízes Africanas during the same festival made this trip especially memorable.

We return to Marin carrying new knowledge, inspiration, stories, and an even stronger commitment to share Capoeira with our community.
