🚶🏾♀️ A Walk of Remembrance:
On Saturday morning, participants embarked on a 7 km walk up the Serra da Barriga, honoring victims of a tragic bus accident. This act of solidarity was a powerful tribute to those lost and a show of support for their families in União dos Palmares and beyond.
🎭 Group Presentations:
Saturday evening brought the magic of collaboration as groups of 40+ capoeiristas created and performed stunning 30-minute presentations. Each group tackled 15 creative tasks, showcasing the depth of Capoeira’s art and culture. This tradition has been a Zumbimba staple for 25 years!
🎉 Sunday: Troca de Cordas:
The weekend wrapped up with a Troca de Cordas for select Instrutores and the announcement of new Mestres and Mestrandos, who will graduate at the World Festival in Rio next year. A powerful moment of recognition and community pride!
