Honoring Black Consciousness Month

November marks Black Consciousness Month in Brazil — a time to honor the deep contributions of Afro-Brazilian culture to Capoeira and society.

This year, our classes focused on training Mestre Bimba’s foundational techniques: sequences, quadras, and corridos. Students practiced with discipline and pride, connecting to the roots of Capoeira Regional and the legacy of Mestre Bimba. His work remains a guiding force in our movements and values.

Our November Aulão, was one for the books!
🌟 Mestrando Kabwenha shared his deep knowledge, humility, and peaceful energy with us. We’re grateful for your presence and inspiration.
🌟 Thank you Mestra Márcia for always supporting our monthly Aulão project — now almost 1.5 years strong!
🌟 Gratidão to Mestrando Jabuti, whose berimbau echoed beautifully and filled the room with axé.
🌟 Big thanks to Professora Iguana, who brought her whole family this time!
🌟 Shoutout to the SF crew — Instrutora Jabuticaba, Instrutores Tupinambá and Papagaio — your presence uplifts us.
🌟 To Professor Ferrugem — your steady support and uplifting words mean the world to us. You are truly part of the family!
🌟 And of course, THANK YOU Rob, for cooking and donating 30 burgers! 🍔 Everyone loved them — you fed both bellies and hearts!

Parabéns to all Students who made November 2025 Aulão so special!
