BLACK HISTORY MONTH & BLACK CONSCIOUSNESS DAY
In the United States, Black History Month is celebrated to honor the many achievements by African Americans and to recognize the central role played by African Americans in U.S. history. In Brazil, Black Consciousness Day is recognized on November 20, which is the birthday of Zumbi, a famous warrior who led the resistance to slavery in the 17th century.
