Congratulations to the ABADÁ MULHER ORGANIZATION COMMITTEE and Mestre Camisa for the great event this past weekend, during which hundreds of women from ABADÁ schools across the world participated on the XVII Encontro Feminino da ABADÁ-Capoeira.

We had the Opportunity to meet Mestre Camisa and learn about various women's initiatives that are central to our work at ABADÁ-Capoeira. We also participated in rhythm classes, maculelê, Jongo, samba de roda and capoeira trainings.

Participated in the Festival de Cantigas (“Music Festival”) and Cultural Night.
We would like to GIVE A BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE to our dear student MANOELA VIEIRA ("NEGONA") and future Board member of ABADÁ CAPOEIRA here in Marin, for participating in the music festival. Manoela authored and submitted her own Angola song as part of the festival.
We would like to also congratulate Gillian, Havaiana, Negona, Firmeza and Estrelinha for participating in this important event on behalf of our school.
