We are excited to finish the capoeira classes for the 2018/2019 school year in big style at Twin-Cities Co-op School. This assembly will have the presence of very special capoeira guests that will be in town from Brazil.

Opening the 2018 Batizado: Puxada de Rede com Festa do Peixe
This year's Batizado will open with a short performance by our students. The performance is known as the Puxada de Rede com Festa do Peixe.
This is a traditional dance that refers to the return of fishermen from their days at sea as well as the celebration of their catch. Rehearsal days for ABADÁ-Marin Students will be announced several weeks before the Batizado.
MARIN ACADEMY
We are proud to announce that ABADÁ Capoeira Marin has been chosen to lead a week-long Specialty Mini-Course for Marin Academy students on the week of February 26. Students will be instructed on the rich history of capoeira and immersed in all facets of this Brazilian martial art form, leading to a performance on Friday.
