Instrutora Ciranda and Instrutor Prego will be attending at Instrutor Pixaim’s Batizado and workshops series in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 19th.
We are holding a contest to decide the theme of our 2019 Batizado and Graduation Ceremony. As we did last year, we are asking our students to submit their suggested theme supported by a few sentences explaining why their theme should be chosen and its relevance to our community.
The deadline to turn in your theme idea is Saturday, March 2nd, via email (abadamarin@gmail.com) or hand delivered to Prego or Ciranda during classes. Here are the Themes we have had for the past years:
The contest winner will be announced during classes on March 9, 2019.The contest winner will be recognized and receive a special prize during our 2019 Batizado Ceremony on October 20, 2019.

We offer tree, one-week Capoeira Summer Camp Session during the months of June and July. Camp runs from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, Mondays-Fridays. Summer Camp is open to youth of all levels, ages 6-12 years old. Youth can attend a one-week session, or sign up for multiple sessions. Extended care is available if arranged in advance. To schedule extended care, please call the office at the time of registering.
ABOUT: ACM's experiential camp is full of fun, friends, and learning! During each one-week session, children are exposed to diverse cultural arts. Campers spend the day learning capoeira and maculelê movements, playing instruments including trying their hand at drumming, singing songs in Portuguese, cooking traditional Brazilian food and playing capoeira-based games that accentuate team building, leadership, and cooperation. Campers not only learn acrobatic and self-defense movements but also use them to improvise and create in collaboration with other students. They receive exposure to a broad range of fun activities. Finally, campers work throughout the week creating a performance that they present at the final day of camp for friends and family! Instructor Prego e Instrutora Ciranda leads the Camp.
