What is the Batizado? It’s a graduation ceremony introducing new students to Capoeira and celebrating those leveling up. It’s where tradition, progress, and culture unite! Your participation helps ensure this event is unforgettable, not just for you but for the entire Capoeira family. The Batizado is more than just a tradition; it’s an opportunity to celebrate our growth, welcome new students into the roda, and honor those advancing to higher levels. But that’s not all! This is a unique chance to meet and learn from instructors, teachers, and mestres from across the country and around the world.
Community & Culture
By participating, we come together as a school to celebrate our progress and share the rich Afro-Brazilian heritage of Capoeira with friends, family, and the broader community.
Workshops & Inspiration
We’re welcoming some of the most respected mestres and teachers to lead engaging workshops—offering new perspectives, deepening our practice, and inspiring us all to grow.
Personal Growth
Whether you’re just beginning or have been training for years, this experience will energize your journey and offer a platform for your dedication and passion to shine.
Why Should I Register?
To celebrate your journey, train with the best, and showcase our progress as a school. Plus, it’s an opportunity to share the magic of Capoeira with family, friends, and the community!
What’s in it for Me?
Workshops with mestres, unforgettable rodas, cultural showcases, and a powerful sense of belonging to the global Capoeira family.
Graduation & Troca de Corda
For those already on their Capoeira journey, earning a new cord depends on:
Training & Consistency
Regular training builds strength, flexibility, and a deeper understanding of Capoeira. These are key to moving forward.
Every cord has expectations for involvement. This includes attending events, special rodas, workshops, and even supporting the school by assisting with classes or behind-the-scenes efforts.
As you reach higher cords, like blue and beyond, the time between cord changes increases. These levels come with higher expectations for growth, knowledge, and contribution.
