Ancestry, Community, Wisdom Workshops

The first four days were packed with high-level workshops led by some of ABADÁ’s most respected teachers, tailored for each level, more than 800 hundred capoeiristas attended to the workshops and/or competitions.

Divided by cord level the workshops were lead by: Mestre Camisa

  • Mestre Cobra, Mestre Morcego, Mestra Márcia, Mestra Edna, Mestre Pernilongo, Paulinho Velho e Periquito Verde.
  • Mestrandos Barriga, Dodi, Bode, Arisco, Parafuso, Job, Papagaio Kikiu, Madeira, Jiboia, Madeira e Mestrandas Juma, Yara, Moema
  • Jorge Mulumba – (Historiador com Angola) taught Berimbau workshops presenting various African rythms, like SEMBA, also known to inspire the most famous rhythm of Brazil, the Samba.
  • The World Capoeira Games qualifiers happened every evening at CEMB.
